CLK Social Media & Community Engagement Coordinator

Knox County Public Library is launching a Community Learning Kitchen (CLK) at The Fortnightly, so we are looking for a dynamic, engaging person who loves to cook with fresh ingredients and is not camera shy. The ideal candidate will be familiar with all current social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and live streaming.

Working with the Indiana Department of Health Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity and Purdue Extension, this full-time, flexible position will implement SNAP-ED in Knox County. SNAP-Ed is designed to help Hoosiers who are eligible for SNAP make healthy choices when it comes to buying and cooking food. The position will organize and participate in events, workshops, demonstrations, and school activities surrounding nutrition and wellness of the local community. Demonstrations will occur in The Fortnightly and in the community utilizing The Charlie Cart. Activities will be well documented across social media with the intent of creating a following of local individuals and families.

In order to apply, please send a resume and an up to a 2-minute video demonstration (link to YouTube) of “How to Make a Salad” to Emily Bunyan, Knox County Public Library Director at ebunyan2001@yahoo.com by June 2, 2023.
