Following Governor Eric Holcomb’s “Back on Track Indiana” plan, the Knox County Public Library begins phase 2 of its reopening plan on Monday, July 6th. Library staff members are welcoming visitors to the main library building during the following hours:
Monday 10am-6pm
Wednesday 10am-6pm
Friday 10am-6pm
Saturday 10am-6pm.
The library’s McGrady-Brockman House, historical/genealogical research center, 614 N. 7th Street, Vincennes, is open for walk-ins with limited capacity. We will be open during the following hours:
Monday-8:30am-5:30pm
Wednesday-8:30am-5:30pm
Friday-8:30am-5:30pm
Saturday-8:30am-5:30pm
For the health and safety of library patrons and staff, CDC (Center for Disease Control) guidelines will be followed.
During the closure, no overdue fines will be charged for items borrowed from the library. Officials want to remind those wishing to limit their exposure by staying home that many KCPL services may be accessed online at the library’s website at kcpl.lib.in.us. Thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks, Tumblebooks for children, free downloadable music and historical newspapers are available online. Magazines and journals are available online through Indiana Spectrum of Information Resources (INSPIRE). Below is an updating list of resources that have been made free for people.
