Main Library 7 p.m. Gus Stevens will present the story of Vincennes native, Buck Jones. Buck Jones, a.k.a. Charles Gilbert, was born in Vincennes in 1891. He became a popular star of Western movies during the 1920s-1940s. His career started with the silent films but with a rich baritone voice he was able to continue his career with the “talkies.” The program will be held in the Main Library. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. |
