Southern Indiana Writers' Festival
The library and The Writers' Center of Indiana are partnering to bring a series of free workshops.

On November 3 at 8:30 a.m. stop at the Main Library to have a sip of coffee and register, then head over to the Fortnightly for the festival’s Keynote Speaker, award-winning author, Margaret McMullan. Following McMullan’s presentation you will have a round of workshops from which to choose. In the first session choose either “Preparing Your Family History of Publication” or “Your Dream of Being a Writer: Making It a Reality.” In the second series of workshops, choose either “Researching Your Family” or “Getting Your Work Published.” Workshops will be held at different locations on the library’s campus.

At 12:05 p.m. meet and greet the visiting authors, purchase their books and exchange remarks about their road to being a published author. Over twenty authors will be in attendance. You do not have to attend the workshops to attend this meet and greet.

Registration for the workshops is highly recommended to assist with providing sufficient handouts and seating. Advance registration forms are available at the Circulation Desk. In addition the Fortnightly Club members are hosting an English Tea at 1 p.m. featuring guest speaker Jeanne M. Dams. Tickets for the Tea are $10 and may be purchased at the library.
